What does thrush really look like? Is it very thick or just a fine coating on tongue? Is it usually raised. Is it pretty obvious when you have it? Also, would some sweating on back of neck and chest be considered night sweats or do they usually soak you completely-I heard that night sweats are defined by being so wet that you have to change clothes or sheets. Thanks for answering-hope these answers help others too.

You can see a picture of oral thrush at: http://www.aegis.com/topics/oi/oi-candida.html
It's best however not to try to self diagnoses things like thrush. Many people from time to time get markings on their tounge that looks similar. I currently have a white mark on my tounge that came from tasting my tea this weekend when it was too hot. Just looking at it I could easily convence myself that it was thrush and get my self all workied up. Food alergies can also cause similar effects.
As for night sweats once again I think if you ask 10 different people you will get 10 different answers. While they are considered to be a possible sign of ARS they are in no way conclusive. I have never had them and I have been positive now for going on 4 years.
If there is a reason that you are concerned and you feel that there might be a possibility that you have been exposed to someone in a risky way with HIV then the best thing to do is get tested at 30 days and if you are still concerned follow up the test at 90 days.
Good luck
Gregg
