Does Hep-c have a window period like HIV does?

Yes, Hep C window period is 6 months so is Hep B.
have in mind that transmission of Hep C is mainly through blood to blood contact - sharing needles etc. It is extremely rare for Hep C to be transmitted via sex.
Most of people will show positive on Hep C after 3 months. Good test to rule our Hep C erlear is HCV RNA - which is PCR test that looks for virus in blood and is prety conclusive - as much as you can get.
The normal test is the same as HIV Elisa that looks for antibodies to Hep C
