HIV isn't the only deadly STD, why you people do not test for hep b&c and siphillis ??? What about HTLV I/II ???

To be honest i tested for all this stuff, except Human T-Lymphocyte Virus I (i think there is no serology for the II clade) which is extremely rare.

Well, just to ease the worried people you decided to spray some gas on the fire. This forum is about HIV but if you are asking my opinion, If you had risky behaviour, yes, it is useful to test for other STDs.

well, if caught in time, you can do something about syphillis... And, most places test for syphillis at the same time as HIV. In Maryland, for instance, where the syphillis capital of the US is (Baltimore), they always test you for HIV and syphillis any time you test at the health dept....

By the way siphillis is a bacterial infection and antibiotics can cure it unless you have reached one of the last stages of this illness, hepatitis B isn't deadly or chronic in 85% of the cases, which isn't exactly the same thing as hiv, i mean: taking proper meds will chronicize hiv but will not clear out the infection, hep b is cleared out in 85 percent of the cases. hep c isn't properly a STD, it is rather transmitted via sharing needles. I don't know very much about HTLV...
