When one transitions from HIV to actual AIDS,how does AIDS present itself initially? Does someone who is HIV+ go to AIDS with symptoms or this there is a middlestage?
Please help...

sure there's a middle stage and you can feel you are AIDS from your body changes... always diarrhea, always 1 month long flue, candidiasis, hairy tongue, colorful patches on the body... sometimes you can't see these and have septic shock syndrome and most probably die because of it..

Interesting. Where did you get your information? I guess I should talk to my doctor. I haven't had any of those things. BTW spectic shock? PCP is the number one killer of people with AIDS, however now there is preventative medicine to help people not get PCP. And before you all freak out. A person isn't liable to get PCP unless their CD4 has dropped to under 200.
And as I said to Paul, get your test results before you start to worry about everything else.
