6 week test. Sure it's positive new
      #275576 - 03/04/14 07:38 PM

Well I had my 6 week blood draw today. And I am very scared. I know it's gonna come back positive. After a unprotected vaginal sex I came down with symptoms. And I've had these symptoms for the last 5 weeks. My eyes are very heavy all day. And there's lots of pressure on my eyes. My nose is constantly stopped up. I get dizzy and feel nauseous. And now I'm starting to get a sore throat. And starting to sneeze. So I'm already getting sick. Could I be progressing fast? I'm so scared

I truly believe that your getting yourself so worked up that your wearing your immune sytem down to the point of catching a really bad cold or flu.Your "symptoms" indicate more run down than progressing to Hiv. But still all the best with your test results.

I will have my results in a couple of days. Are burning eyes a symptom of early HIV? My eyes burn so bad. Everywhere I read it says the initial symptoms go away after a couple of weeks. But that's not the case with me. They ate just lingering around. I'm scared if I am positive my numbers are gonna be real bad.

Burning eyes are not a symptom of early HIV. Your eyes problem could be caused by anxiety and stress. Try and relax as you are stressing yourself out.

Your burning eyes are just due to haveing dry eyes. Use some eye drops for dry eyes and the burning will go away.

If your not in a hospital bed near death, then I doubt your "numbers are gonna be real bad", you have a few symptoms, like riverprincess said, your fussing so much your probably inviting in a cold or flu bug more than anything.

With the weather being so weird lately dry eyes can be caused from that too, not to mention cold bugs. There is any number of viruses floating around right now that are having a field day because of the weird winter weather. Extreme damp cold and snow on the east coast, dry cold air on the west coast and a bunch of bugs having a field day!

If you test postive, you go on meds, a few things change in your life (like responsibility for being HIV+), but it's not the end of the world ... seriously!
