      #275253 - 02/04/14 12:50 AM

Hi.
Could someone from old inhabitants give an advice to which site expert can I address my question?

It is about testing for rare strains and groups.

Thanks.

This chasing of rare strains and hidden HIV is a waste of time. In all the years people have been coming here claiming they have some rare strain. NOT ONE has ultimately tested positive. In all these years while research and science has moved forward in understanding HIV and how it works, there have been no declaration of HIV hiding, or strains that can't be detected. Think about it. Even if there is a new strain it would not be so different that it could not be detected. Just like HIV II. At first it would not always be picked up by test but it sure as hell showed up in a PCR. Now the antibody tests have been modified to react to HIV I and II. If there was a III it wouldn't be a surprise.

You are HIV negative. The sooner you believe that, the sooner you will free yourself to look to other causes of your ill health. Work with your doctor. Good luck to you.
