nodule on Parotid Papillae early sign of HIV? - TheBody.com's Bulletin Boards

Hello people,

First i'd like to say that The Body is a great site and i think it has many visitors from outside the US. So do i from Holland.

I'm suffering whith the following problem:

In august 2001 I have had protected oral and latex protected vaginal sex (the condom was visually not broken)with a sex-worker and on some day in september i realised my possible risk for HIV.

From that day on i paid attention on everything of my body and found some things i experience as a possible sign of HIV.

One of these things is that i have a nodule on each side of my inner cheeks. I saw them 4 months ago (they do still persist) and my docter says (after he had look them)they're normal and he called them the Parotid Pappilae or the end of the Stenson Ducts (and he sees them this way in some more people.) But i don't understand i have not seem them before and cannot accept them. But their color is a little bit brighter (little bit "whiter") and when i pull them they look taller.

Also when i became afraid of HIV i experienced in october two weeks long a burning mouth and had some "pain" under my tong. My mind says that it was because i made strange movements with my tongue because of al anxiety but i do not know this for sure. I did'nt had more symptoms.

I've also done a HIV-Elisa test on 13 december 2001 (4 months later) wich was negative.

What do you think: could this be early HIV? Do i need to retest? And do you have these nodules also in your inner cheeks? Please answer!
