HIV exposure
      #271337 - 03/24/13 10:35 AM

Hello, about a month ago I had unprotected oral and brief anal sex. I caught chlamydia within 4 days after and went to the doctors. they gave me z-pak pills. I was fine until the next day I started feeling dizzy with sore muscles and diarrhea. everything went away but the diarrhea lasted about 2 weeks. It's been a month now and I'm feeling better but I started to get this sore throat no swollen glands though. can someone please let me know if I was at high risk behavior?

I had unprotected oral and brief anal sex........Now you know that this is exactly what puts you at risk though you didn't mention any fluid exchange. But since you contracted Chlamydia is evidence of the need for protection at all times. The diarrhea could very well be due to the anti-biotics . But I would get tested at 6 weeks and up at 3 months. And PLEASE be more careful from now on.

Thanks a bunch, I will get tested in 2 weeks. that will make this 6 weeks from exposure. regular saliva from oral and no body fluids from anal. It was very quick as I had insertive anal sex.

still a risk. every time you have unprotected sex you're putting yourself at risk.

it's a good decision to test at 6 weeks post exposure. however, don't forget you must also test at least 3 months post exposure to confirm your result.

please do wear condoms in the future.

I went to the hospital a few days ago because of palputation, they did EKG and blood cultures Dr. said everything was fine.

But I'm still experiencing Acid Reflux, thrush, and light-headed/dizziness symptoms. Ill be doing a follow up next thursday. I'll update you guys and although I have high hopes but I don't think it's looking good.
