I got my test results back. Did an antibody ELISA blood test last week, precisely 74 days after my exposure and it came back negative. Should I consider it conclusive? Thank you in advance!

From what i have read online on credible sites and speaking with few doctors if the result is negative after 6 weeks you are good to go, but they recommend that you get tested again at the end of 3 months just to be 100%. If your came out negative at 74 days, put the whole HIV behind you and go on about your life and when ever you get a change after month or so get another test done.
I am on my 5th week and got one more week before i will get tested again. If you dont mind me asking, what symptoms did you have if any?
thanks

I didn't actually have the seroconversion symptoms. I got an itchy mosquito-like rash on my legs 3 weeks after exposure, a few bumps here and there. Then it passed and 3 weeks after that, I got the same rash on my arms and after it started disappearing, a very low-grade fever that lasted for a day. I also have some other health issues, so I'm guessing I caught a bug and it passed away fast. I had a low risk exposure but I decided to get testing anyway, I think 11 weeks is enough time...

For a reliable result, you must wait at least 3 months for your test. However, is highly unlikely that your 74 days result would change.
