Hi doctors and everybody else here in this wonderful website
I have a very serious questions I would like to answer please
Unfortunately, I had an unprotected vaginal sex with a lady I do not know her status. After 14 weeks I went to a medical lab and asked them there to make HIV 1&2 test for me. After little hours I got my result and the specialist there told me that I do not have HIV. But when I have red the result I was confused because there were 3 methods mentioned as follows:
Method :Eclia,roche. COI.
Method :Eci, vitros. 0.06 COI
Method :artechict,Abbot. COI
the reference was reactive more than 1
non reactive less than 1
my questions are:
Is this test reliable and accurate after 3 months?
what is the generation of this test? Is it modern technology?
should I retest again?
I appreciate the effort you make guys.
Thank you all. God bless you

your blood was tested for HIV with three different methods and you were negative in all of them.

given that you tested neg out of three months you can now turn the page and start a 2013 from zero. congrats!
