Hello everyone, I have posted few topics in the past few weeks about my worries. Well today I got my 3rd negative test and it is like 10th or 11th week after the exposure. I think I do not have to worry anymore... The 3 test were ELISA (do not know which generation)... Can I consider the 3rd test for conclusive? I know myself I might get tested again in a month or two... Also I would like "riverprinces" for being supportive and for being good advisor. Thank you for the help and PLEASE keep up the good work!

Thank you very much for the compliment, I truly appreciate it. It lets me know that I am on the right path . And more so best of life to you with your neg results. All I ask is that you take this experience and learn from it all . And if ever you come across someone that finds themself in fear of contracting Hiv share your experience with them. Perhaps some day there will be enough knowlege and forethought that these situations happen les and less. Until then we will always be here for whoever needs us. Take care and be well....River

God, I remeber having to wait before getting tested.
Those days were the most darker in my life, I always tought: "If I get out of this safe, it's going to be a miracle". and I'm here (:
Here it goes:
Your Elisa test at 2 months is quite encouraging, since the vast majority of seroconversions occur within the first 4 to 6 weeks.
Let's say, you got the 90% to be negative after 3 months, but if you want to be 100% you're gonna have to wait 6 months.
Meanwhile, relax, enjoy your friends, your family, do things to get distracted and don't waste time thinking over it or searching here, on the internet.
And remember, if you get in this kind of situation before the 6 months you're gonna have to start counting again and that my friend, is madness.
I know you're negative and PLEASE take this whole new opportunity to start fresh. God bless you!

Someone else in the same shoes. I just took my 11 week test as well and tested negative. When I came back in my doc looked at me like I was on crazy pills for continuing to worry after my previous neg result at 8 weeks. Both blood tests. Just something to consider.
