Hi I had a low risk exposure 8 weeks ago and have taken the oraquick home mouth Swab test at 4 weeks and 8 weeks both negative I know the test says to test at 12 weeks but out of fear I tested early should I still be worried? Or can I take these negative results as a good sign?

a negative result is always a good thing.
however, PERSONALLY, I would rather do a classic blood drawn to test instead a home test.

Agree with other poster, get a blood test done or something like uni-gold which is also based on tiny blood drawn, testing for antibodies...

what was your exposure?
if you're going for a final test at the 12th week mark rather do a blood drawn.

then this is extremely low risk. you can test at 3 months but expect a negative result for HIV.
other STIs are, however, easier to transmit:

oral sex is generally very low risk for everything. you can reduce this small risk to zero by using condoms.

you will most likely test negative again....
if you are still concerned, really, go get a blood test.

But won't I still need to wait for the 12th week?

yes, you should since you have already tested twice. The longer the period, the more conclusive it is. You can also seek out 4th gen blood test if your anxiety is getting to you and you can't wait for another 4 weeks.

I can wait I hear the majority of people will show positive by 28 days I have also heard the mouth swab is as accurate as a blood when it come to rapid tests

Also would my risk be greater if I had a broken tooth or cavities? And is it true that saliva has proteins that can kill hiv?
