Hi, so I may have been exposed to someone that was HIV +. I had sex with this person on 10/4. We had oral (my giving, unprotected) and anal (me receiving, unprotected). The anal did not go very long, it was my first time, and he only got it in a little before I asked him to take it out. I used the OraQuick home test on 11/1 after finding out that this person was possibly infected, it came back negative. I am thinking about testing again at the 6 week mark (11/15) the 8 week mark (11/29) and one at the 3 month mark (1/4/13). Am I stressing too much? Is the first negative a good sign? And should I use the same test or the Home Access, or go to my health department and get tested. I’m just scared and embarrassed about going to the health department, and have been worrying ever since finding out this person is HIV+! Pleas Help!

No ned to feel emabarassed going to the health department. I've been going to them for my health needs for 17 years now.And trust me they have seen it all. Your situation and means of exposure is nothing unique or specially odd. But you shoud get test at the 3 month mark and at the 6th just to make you feel better and more secure.
