I've only seen 2 cases here worthy of worry; red32 (had relation with HIV+ person, developed, candida, 15 days fever, etc...to this day has neuropathy same as his wife; and myself with a very similar simptomatology and serology (cd4/cd8).
I am starting Generic Atripla; and I am treating myself; hopefully humoral response might kick in after starting ARV's and I dont have to keep doing this on my own. Thats all.

wow, so this is what it's come down to? treating yourself for a virus you do not have. Atripla is a powerful drug and should not be taken just because you've convinced yourself you have HIV, despite all the science that proves you don't. strongly advise against this.
also please stop referring to yourself as HIV infected. you are not.

We know approximately how long it may take a person to produce antibodies to HIV based on years of data, research and advancements in testing.
A person who has contracted HIV may show up positive as early as two weeks after the time they were infected. According to page 11 of the Module 6 Training Manual from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the vast majority of those who contract HIV will show up positive between 4—6 weeks after infection.
To obtain a reliable test result, it is recommended that you wait at least six weeks after your last exposure. A tiny number of people may not test positive for three months. These are generally people with pre-existing immune disorders such as chemotherapy patients or recent organ transplant recipients who must take immune system-suppressing drugs. For this reason, many agencies will suggest a uniform three month test to cover everyone.
Testing beyond three months is completely unnecessary.
Here is a chart with approximate accuracy of HIV antibody testing:
Time Accuracy
2 weeks…………………………50%
3 weeks…………………………75%
4 weeks…………………………95%
6 weeks…………………………99%
3 months…………………….100%

Ruans, You are vih negative beyond any doubt. But if you are willing to take the chance of taking antivirals to fight your unknown virus, you should start with Famvir or Valcyte, not Atripla. At least that´s what i would do, if i were in your situation. Try those and see if you improve. That´s my plan B if i have a relapse, I´m praying to God i don´t have to do it since i´m with Cymbalta and recovering slowly.

These are drugs that should not be taken lightly Ruans. In essense they are very toxic and those of us that have no choice but to take them we are the ones that will see what long term use is going to do to our bodies. But we have no choice. To take a medication such as these for any unfounded reason is utterly ubsurb, cray , ridiculous and stupid. Take your neg status and run with it. If I didn't have to take these poisonous meds I wouldn't and I'm sure any pos person wouldn't. I would take a deep look at the rational if I was you. If your having symptons find out the reason why for them . It's not an Hiv issue and should not by any means be treated as such.

WTF?
you had protected sex. if I remember your story, you used a condom and all the act was PROTECTED.
but most important, you have had every possible HIV test on earth. and the results of all those tests were negative.
the extremely rare cases of seronegative HIV infection (which are documented) were due a REAL risk, not because of protected sex. and in those extremely rare cases, Elisa missed the infection, but not a PCR RNA test which YOU ALREADY HAD done several times.
those generic Atripla should be used in Africa or places where confirmed HIV positive people REALLY need them.

1. There are plenty of people who contracted HIV using condoms and I have seen them here in the I just Testes +. The condom slip off a lil and was some cheap condom this girl had. 2. I understand there are plenty of people here scared by no reason whatsoever; and thats why is so easy to tell everybody "you are negative". Take a look at red32 case; who had sex with HIV+ woman and had the most classic ARS syndrome just liek mine; and we are suffering of pretty smilar synptoms (neuropathy, mild candida) and had similar Cd4/cd8 results as well. If you know HIV , you know that there is going to be people who doesnt test positive and have HIV; just as it happened in the past; they even died of Aids with - tests. Theneuropathy is increaisng in frequency and hurts way toooo much, neurologist ruled out the possible causes and he omly says it is caused by a virus because it started with my viral syndrome. My cd8 are elevated and such inflamation is dmaaging the nerves; I hope that Viraday brings those cd8 down, and neuropathy stops; hopefully my candida will go away.

You're a trip ruans. I mean if there was ever a question of your mental health this should lay it to rest forever. Your battier than a cave.
You should take your act on tour so that everyone here that is a worry well can see what happens when you allow yourself to disbelieve facts based solely on fear. What ever happened to that promise of giving it all up when the final platinum gold standard test done by the bestest dr in the whole wide world?
I also find it funny that you rationalize your craziness by saying hey look at this other guy this is why I'm crazy. It's so cute just want to pinch your cheeks. Just adorable.
Lets not forget the craziest thing ever. You are gonna pop pills that need to be monitored because of the damaging effects (which are real and will be fatal) without a dr saying go ahead. Probably ordered over the Internet (illegally btw) from a company that is on some tiny island in what is considered a third world country with laws that protect them from ever being sued.
I hope you enjoy the liver damage, kidney damage, & lactic acid overdose. Cause chances are you are wasting time chasing ghosts and really do have something wrong and these meds are only gonna speed up what you are so afraid of. Dumb ass.
So yup you have aids. Amazingly Idiotic Dumbass Syndrome.

I am a paranoid, but next to you I feel like the most rational person on earth.
It's true some people test negative on Elisa AFTER A RISK although they're indeed infected. These are extremely rare cases, so extreme that only a handful of cases (25 I think) have been reported in the literature out of the millions of HIV positive people in the world who were diagnosed with a classic Elisa.
However, those rare cases were ALWAYS detected with complementary tests (PCR RNA, p24 antigen, etc.), tests which you had done already. Therefore, you can't be more rare case than all the rare cases in the world to date. See what I mean?

You just said it: in the past. In the 80's there were Elisa's 1st generation only. No PCR RNA or p24 antigen tests, etc. You're in 2012.You have had tested with several Elisa, several PCR RNA, and even a viral culture. Your CD4 are over 1000 (normal range 500 to 1500) if I remember correctly. If you were infected from your protected (!) sex a year ago, you wouldn't had such high levels of CD4.
Maybe the moderator of this forum would do you a big favor if he put a ban on you, just like the mods on forums.poz.com did there. Enough is enough. You had every possible test on earth and now you're self administrating ARVs. This is total insanity. I think is time for you to post your irrational fears in an HIV Anxiety forum or a mental health forum.
All the best.
