OCD about HIV

I have OCD about having HIV, my girlfriends dad is away from home quite a lot and his family suspect him to be sleeping with quite a lot of prostitutes, therefore may have STDs including HIV, since then I have feared that (somehow) my girlfriend would catch it threw living with him (hes only at her house on weekends, her parents are split up.) Even though I know the most often way to catch HIV is through intercourse (which OF COURSE is not possible between them, just to clear things up, they're not that type of family.) I still feel through my OCD she may have it therefore I may have caught it through sex with her. Of course I cannot speak to my girlfriend about this as it is weird as f**k, even if I did talk to her I know she would just laugh it off and reassure me that everythings ok and call me a weirdo. We both went to the GUM clinic about 2 months ago just for a general check up and we were both all clear (I didn't take the blood test, as im a ***** vs needles), although she did take the blood test and was as I said, all clear. I just don't know what to think and would like some advice on this situation, Thanks.

My advice is to get your OCD under control. Your concerns about the situation are irrational and there is nothing we can say to help you calm down about that. Seek help for your real issue.

I forgot to mention she was a virgin before we got together as was I. So are you saying theres no reason for me to be even worried about the possibility of HIV? As i'm being irrational.. Just wondering, will help clear my mind hopefully

There is help for people like you guys. It's called SSRIs and psychotherapy.
Something you can not find here. So since you both realize that the OCD is to blame do something about it and quit coming here and fueling it. Something any good therapist worth the $110 bucks they charge a session will tell you. See I saved you $110 no need to thank me just move on.

I know PCR testing is not reliable for diagnosis because of the false positives but do they ever give false negatives?
