I am now at the point I am too scared to get tested. If I have HIV, do I really want to know?
10 years sounds like the average before I get symptoms. That is a long time.
I am just scared. I don't feel I put myself at great risk, but then, I had an issue.

Yes, you want to know. You want to know so you can begin the proper medical treatment in order to prolong your life. You want to know so you don't put anybody else at risk of getting HIV.
I think you should go and be tested. There are places that offer rapid HIV test and you receive results in as little as 20 minutes. Planned Parenthood gave me results back in like 10.

Well Nicole, Thanks for your response. You are the person who had a no risk encounter of oral, and are telling me to think about meds. Some of us have risks that are justified. In order for me to have my issues it required mucus membrane contact.
I think I would prefer people who have gone through real risks or have HIV to give me advice. Not someone who had a very low to non risk encounter.
Sorry for being harsh, but you had almost no risk at all. Others of us do.

No real risk or not, I still had myself convinced of the possibility of having HIV. I spent three months thinking I was going to come out of this with HIV and it gave me alot of time to think about how I was going to live my life.
I don't mean to offend anyone on here, I was just hoping to help you out. All I'm saying is, regardless of how this turns out, you're still going to be living.
Anyways, best of luck to you and I hope you find some peace of mind.
