check this...-- AIDS patients got both good and bad news on the long-term survival front. A federal report released in March found AIDS patients diagnosed in 1995 lived an average of nearly four years, compared to just 11 months for those diagnosed in 1984. As many as 90 percent of those diagnosed in 1997 were still alive two years later.
ten percent dead in 2 years

Ok, first off, I see one flaw in what you report. Testing and finding out your HIV positive is very different from having AIDS.
I tested positive for HIV 4 years ago. Left untreated (meaning if I was never to take medication) I was told that in 8 - 10 years I would probably develop full blown AIDS. And still untreated it's not very long until an opportunistic infection would take over and kill me.
So if you are talking about people testing and finding out they have full blown AIDS then it's quite possible, which is all the more reason for people to test early and find out when they are only in the HIV stages and not in the AIDS stages. If you test and find out you can get on meds and live a full life.
Don't test and you won't be able to fight or do anything other then die not knowing.
Gregg

If it was up to Gregg and Worried everyone would be testing until they zeroconvert and then get on those meds and become a slave to the medical system asap. You guys should get a job at Glaxo or a big ASO. LOL! What a way to start the new just as crazy as 2001.
