Good Evening, the facts are as follows. After talking to a few counselors about risks I thought I Felt better, however I have been going crazy. Huge amounts of panic, distress and anxiety that I have never felt before which have manifested itself with some scary symptoms what is really troubling me.
I am having dry mouth now not producing saliva for a few weeks now. It used to be more constant but I have been developing coping mechanisms to get myself through the day. But it wakes me up much earlier in the morning than I would like, around 5am and then I can't go back to sleep. I also now have fungus on my tongue which i verified with a dentist. I am convinced I am HIV positive based on this and am worried sick. Is it true oral thrush doesn't come about until end stage HIV aids? I know that HIV is asymptote for a long period so would 9 to ten months be too short of a time or is possible that the dry mouth and thrush are early symptoms after 10
Months? I am not diabetic so far as I know nor do i fit in any of the other categories for thrush so I am very worried please help. Ps i am not as concerned about the 2nd exposure as I am

hey there worriedsik, no need to worry about HIV in your case. frottage, or having/rubbing your penis outside of her anus, is not a significant risk for HIV. neither is insertive fingering or receptive oral.
according to the cdc per-act risk estimates, http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/rr5402a1.htm#tab1, only oral is a risk but it is at the bottom of the chart, 0.5 out of 10,000 exposures. it's extremely low.
symptoms are notoriously unreliable, so really, you shouldn't convince yourself you have HIV without any proof. since it's been longer than three months since this happened, just get a quick HIV test and put your mind at ease.

Also just based on your experience what can you say about dry mouth and when it appears during the disease? Can anxiety depression and stress cause chronic dry mouth? Sorry but my body has never done this before

Dry mouth is not specific to HIV infection. Stress and anxiety can in fact produce hormones that prevent saliva from being produced. Lack of saliva can cause infections and a white coating on the tongue, oral cavity, and throat. Medications even over the counter ones can cause dry mouth and infections.

HIV is just one among a bunch of possible causes for dry mouth. from simple dehydration to diabetes to, yes, anxiety and depression. just get a test. you won't be able to figure this out from asking about symptoms. but keep in mind, your risk was very, very low!

Understood and I will get tested but just to confirm with you unless I spread her cheeks open and entered my penis into her butt i didn't have a risk and by the head of my penis simply rubbing against the inner walls of her cheek are not a concern?

correct. rubbing your head on the inner cheeks is not a concern. the insertive oral was the only risk, but even that is extremely low.

Can anyone comment on what the general pattern of the disease is ie after preliminary ars symptoms how long do people remain asymptomatic for before showing symptoms and is it true that something like dry mouth and thrush come much later (years after infection)

just get tested. today is world aids day. plenty of free testing everywhere. http://www.thebody.com/content/64758/world-aids-day-2011-events.html. symptoms are unreliable. your self-diagnosed dry mouth and thrush don't mean you have HIV. just see a doctor and get a test. stop driving yourself crazy worrying about this.

you're just asking the same questions again and making me repeat myself. we already told you. the frottage was not a risk, as in zero percent chance. the only risk for HIV you had was the insertive oral, which the cdc estimates, http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/rr5402a1.htm#tab1, as a 0.5 risk per 10,000 exposures. your symptoms are irrelevant.
please stop double posting the same question. in particular, please do not post in the "I Just Tested Positive" forum when you have not tested positive. just get a test.

Im reminded of a childhood saying. God helps those who help themselves. You've been told to go get tested and that symtoms are not reliable for diagnosing hiv. Yet you still havent bothered to do so. We have offered the absolute best advice we can give. Go get tested if you are worried. Sorry but no one is gonna hold you're hand to do this. You were a big boy when you walked into the strip club you can be a big boy and walk into the clinic.

in short, for future fear reference HIV can only be transmitted INSIDE the body...even then, certain conditions have to be established & maintained, such as moisture levels, temperature,etc in order for the virus to stay intact & transmit.
if you THINK you may be at risk for infection, simply get tested and TRUST the results..
