Hello,
I read that different labs around the united states have different standards and results of the ELISA test. Some labs are liberal or conservative on how they read the ELISA results because it is display by a numerical value. I have been tested Negative 7 times. My last exposure was October 2006. I have not been placing myself at risk since then. But I seem to be having chronic bronchitis (chest and ribs in pain, coughing, and phelgm in my throat) for 3 months. I smoke but a lot of smokers do not have bronchitis. My throat is so dry and itchy a lot of times.
My question is could my ELISA results be inaccurate? I read that ELISA is very sensitve, so if i had HIV, the ELISA would had picked it up?
