Could my back pain be because of ARS?
      #258935 - 11/15/11 10:00 AM

A couple of weeks ago I met a guy at a bar and we came home together. We played together that night. The next morning I noticed my penis was very red on top and a bit sore. Anyway he wanted me to top him, and he was sitting on my penis, trying to push it in unsafely. There was a bit of pressure but not full penetration. We then did have sex but with protection.

About 10 days later I started to feel like I was coming down with a cold or the flu. Didn't have a fever but have had a minor sore throat. Since Saturday (13 days on), I have had terrible pain across the mid section of my back - it hurts to move. Other than that, no other symptoms - I'm a bit tired, but have an appetite etc, no chills or anything.

So I'm wondering is it possible that I could have been exposed to some anal mucous or something when he was sitting on me, and because my penis was red, there was more chance it could have entered through the mucous membrane? And that the cause of my back pain is ARS/seroconversion? I do have some sensitivity in my neck as well if that means anything.

Thanks for your feedback.

Your risk and symptoms are not consistent with an exposure to HIV.

Middle back pain can be caused by a slue of things. My guess is either stress or sleeping wrong on it after injuring it. Probably injured it while doing the cha cha with you new found friend from the bar and was to drunk to notice it till the next day or two. Also middle of the back injuries can cause pain and stiffness in the neck because the muscles in the upper and middle back help support the neck muscles.

As far as the red penis probably again an injury of rough ball room dancing in bed.

IF you are that concerned after reading LOGICAL explanations to your recount of what happened then go get tested at 3 months symptoms are unreliable for HIV and vary so much the only way to be sure is to be tested. My money is on it will come out negative.

Thanks for the reply. I have also had pain and aches in my legs and groin area as well. Could this be also part of ARS? I know that there has to be exchange of fluid in order to pass on the virus and that it is harder to pass than other things, but just a little worried.

frottage is not a risk for HIV. if you used a condom during sex, then you do not need to worry. i agree with kicker. symptoms are unreliable. a test at three months will be conclusive and most likely negative.
