Done a bad thing.
      #258302 - 10/04/11 02:57 AM

I tested negative at 3 weeks, negative at 6 weeks, negative 9 weeks.
Had unprotected sex with a woman of unknown status.

Symptoms: Palpable painless small nodes (neck, groin), mild body aches (joints, muscles, abdomen), mild headaches, tiny tiny black spots on my neck, persistent flaky skin, strange rash (looks like pityriasis rosea), occasionally irritated throat, dry mouth, light fevers of 99.4 - 99.9 in the evening, wbc of 3.9 range 4.5 to 11.5. The rash was the first of my symptoms (1-2ks), the generalized pain came once I realized what I might be in for (3 wks), and the other symptoms came about a week apart from other. The skin problems, glands, and pain persist.

Also, a girl I started dating got sick and was diagnosed with strep 2 - 3 weeks after we became sexually active. She was prescribed with penicillin and most of symptoms were alleviated except the cough which she has to this date.

1). What are the odds she was wrongly diagnosed and has acute hiv infection instead?
2). What are the chances my 12 week test will become positive?

If you are going to put this much weight behind symptoms, then at least use those related to ARS. Symptoms do not show up here and there nor do they last more than a week. What you describe has nothing to do with ARS.

Guess that's why everyone says don't pay attention to symptoms but to the test results. Your 9 week result will not change since close to 100% of people that get HIV test positive by 6 weeks.

more importantly and logical.... if YOU FEAR this so much, QUIT PUTTING YOURSELF in sexual situations until you can handle the "what ifs"

I hadn't noticed any changes in body or suspected hiv until after I started dating the person I'm with. Since the suspicion we have wrapped up ever since.

Even the swollen nodes, and pityriasis like rash do not raise flags to you?? Could my age or size have any effect on when I might seroconvert if I was indeed infected?
