Hi guys, just wanted to know
I gave a guy i know head who said he was 'clean'. he didn't ejaculate and i'm pretty sure there was no precum. the whole thing lasted under a minute.
now about a week later, i am worried i have developed ars symptoms. however, my 'symptoms' have ocurred one at a time, and not all at once which is how ars likes to work as i have read. First, there was dull pain in my penis, this cleared up after 3 days, then I got 'swollen armpit' nodes (which my GP said weren't swollen)... Loose stools with constipation, then recently i have terrible leg aches, not painful, just very dull ache, and in the arms as well although not as bad.
Like i said, all these 'symptoms' have occurred one at a time, not all at once. Saw 2 GP's, and 3 sexual health advisors who weren't concerned about my exposure in the slightest, and a lead HIV nurse said unprotected oral is a negligible risk, and that i can take a hiv test (one i took 2 weeks after exposure) as conclusive given the 'negligible' risk of my encounter. GP put most of my 'symptoms' down to anxiety, and even printed me a self help guide to manage anxiety?
what do you think my risks are?

I would say you are looking for something that isn't there. Your risk was almost non-existent. You would have a better chance of being hit by lighting or a 747 than having HIV from that exposure.

thanks for the reassurance
got my hiv test result back to day (3 weeks after exposure) was a negative. sexual health advisor said i can take this result as conclusive because of the extreme low risk of my encounter
would you agree?

does anyone know how soon weight loss can occur once infected with HIV? It's probably psycholocgical but i seemed to of convinced myself that i am unintentionally losing weight, and think my arms and legs are skinnier :/

if you are experiencing any weight loss, it's not from HIV. as stated, oral sex is an extremely, extremely low risk for HIV. if anything, it's probably you stressing over this that's causing any weight loss. just relax! you don't have HIV!

go see your Dr. you are having some severe paranoid symtoms. You did not get HIV from the lotion or massage therapist..Maybe you having these feeling because of Real risk behavior? you def need some psych help tho.

thanks for the reassurance
the only 'symptoms' i am experiencing are a dull ache in the legs and slight in the arms, and loose stools.
there must be something wrong with me because 3 GP's and 3 sexual health advisors have told me i have nothing to worry about and even advised agianst further testing. am i right to accept their advise? i got a 3 week post exposure hiv test that was negative. was told by my sexual health advisor i can take this as conclusive because of my negligible risk. is that right also?

Dude - Listen to yourself. You've had SIX qualified people tell you to move on and what do you do? Ask a bunch of strangers with unknown qualifications if you should listen to those six experts.
Seriously??

i know and it does sound silly that i am doubting the advice of 6 professionals. what i am confused about is that standard hiv tests always recommend 3 months for a result to be conclusive..
although my sexual health advisor (who didn't recommend testing at all as he thought it was unessecary) said that my 3 and a bit week negative result could be taken as conclusive?
then again it was a 4th gen duo test, which i think can show accurate results anything from 3 weeks onwards? is this correct?

It doesn't just sound silly.
You said you gave a guy a blow job that had no pre-cum or ejaculation. This just isn't considered an exposure. That's why your sexual health advisor didn't even think you needed to bother with a test over this non-risk. It's also why your result is conclusive. You didn't need to test in the first place.
If you plan to continue to stress over this non-issue, I really suggest you rethink if you are even ready for sex.
