tingling

Hi, I am hoping that you can help me on a couple of points. The first is that I am 3.5 weeks post exposure and experiencing tingling and numbness in my feet, legs, hands, arms and face.

Does this sound at all like HIV peripheral neuropathy?

I had a 25 days rapid test and it was negative. Is it reassuring at all?

My doc has suggested a DNA PCR, I read on line that this gets alot of false positives. Is this a good idea or not?

Thanks a million for your reposnes

what was your exposure? a negative test at 25 days is definitely encouraging. most people develop antibodies within 4-6 weeks. you will need to retest at 12 weeks to confirm. DNA PCR is not necessary, but does detect HIV sooner.
