3 month Home Access
      #256134 - 06/10/11 03:47 PM

Long story short. Gave brief oral to a hooker. Racked with anxiety. Just tested negative with Home Access at three months. Would like to believe it but now I am doubting the accuracy b/c of the Home Access test being a second generation test. Does anyone know if it is as accurate at three months as a third generation test. If I understand correctly the third generation test is more likely to pick up low levels of antibody at earlier time in window period but at three months both tests would have about the same accuracy. One picks up IGM(3rd gen) antibodies and the other IGG(2nd gen). Does the 3rd gen also pick up antigens like p24? I think it is called an antigen sandwich assay. If so do the antigens picked up by the 3rd gen fade later in the infection like the p24 does? I really want to move on and believe my results but my gut is telling me not so fast. If I knew more about the 2nd gen accuracy I could at least sleep easy while waiting on my 6 month test to confirm my three months negative. I guess my long story short turned out to be long anyway. Any help would be appreciated.
