I hate to keep scaring myself, but I saw this in Dr. Bob's forum:

Does anybody have a possible explanation for high viral load and no antibodies?

If you wanna look stuff up to scare yourself, go ahead. Just stop posting it to scare the shit out of people who are already anxious or are in the process of getting over their scare. Keep your OCD to yourself and stop inducing fear cuz regardless of what they tell you, you're still gonna go dig up more articles to scare yourself some more.

thanks, but if people are like me and worried, they'll find it anyway. I post because it's an obscure patient report that may have been overlooked by those in the know. I just wonder what the true numbers of antibody-negative, HIV-positive people really are. hopefully little-to-none, and one would think that this would have been studied over the years, right? surely the CDC would know something about it...

It seems like what the Doctor said, the tests he is taking is only for HIV-1. When I popped positive, both tests were sensitive to HIV 1&2. The VL test I have access to was only for HIV-1, according to the lab report. This prompted me to get the genotyping done to make sure what I really did or did not have, and test for sensitivity before starting HAART therapy. Mine came back as pure and only HIV-1, with no mutations or resistances.
I would suggest that the person writing that letter has not had their virus genotyped, and that their virus is other than HIV-1. It's only a guess - please, no rotten tomatoes!
