LOSING MY MIND! Please help... Need support

About 2 weeks ago I had sex with a woman in a dark hotel room. I was a little intoxicated and foolishly pulled my boxer briefs over my penis condom on then took it off soon after. The next morning I saw the condom in the trash and it was covered in blood. I checked my snug fitting boxers I had slept in the entire night and unfortunately there were two good sized blotches of blood.
Is it possible that the blood transferred into my boxers infected me with the HIV virus on the tip of my penis or through the urethra?
I have been on numerous websites daily checking symptoms and other information again and again. I plan on getting tested when more time passes but recently I have been experiencing headaches, muscle aches, diarrhea, and tingling of the feet. I don't know how to explain it but I've also been experiencing a strange pulse or twitch randomly throughout the day and in all parts of my body. Its as if I can actually feel the virus pulsing through my veins. I feel crazy and hope that I'm just being paranoid.
PLEASE HELP... any insight would be appreciated, I've been struggling staying up late without sleep surfing the web for information for hours
Thanks for reaching out..

ok, calm down. i don't think you were infected by blood that was on your boxers that came from the condom you were wearing. plus there are no actual symptoms you can rely on.
you will need an HIV test after 3 months, but it's highly, highly unlikely that you'll test positive. in the meantime, just take it easy, use protection and stop reading up on "symptoms."
also, bloody sex is disgusting.

I agree, it was disgusting and one of the worst experiences in my life. What's even more disgusting than the bloody sex is the fact that I slept in bloody boxer briefs all night.
I have read that the hiv virus dies in seconds when exposed to air but have also read that it takes a few hours for 99% of the virus the become inactive when drying. Also, the CDC states that HIV can be transmitted by wet or dampened surfaces, which is scary. The mucous membrane of my urethra was exposed to the blood in my boxers for the entire night.
I have never been more scared in my life..

Ya know....menstrual periods are a NATURAL, NORMAL biological monthly occurrence. It's pretty obvious neither of you are in a long term relationship with a woman. Men who are, understand that this is not disgusting....and if they do think that they keep it to themselves instead of insulting women for a normal body function. Our periods do not make us disgusting and from personal experience it doesn't seem to be an issue with most men.
It's a damn good thing most men aren't so fastidious, otherwise there would be a whole lot more one child households. But instead, men are able to witness the birth of their children complete with blood, mucous, cheesy white stuff and after-birth and still see their partners as sexual.
While I'm not surprised to see this out of a poster on the 'Am I Infected', I've seen worse comments, I am disappointed that a representative of the body would the one to voice such an opinion on a forum that should be supporting woman also.

I didn't mean for my comments to be interpreted in this way. I understand menstrual periods are natural and also understand that there are some unpleasant (but natural!) parts of the male anatomy as well. I was referring to the blood during sex and afterwards the blood in my briefs as disgusting.
I have seen a live birth and it is truly incredible to witness life being brought into this world (I still wouldn't suggest a hearty meal before witnessing). Be ready to see the most amazing thing of your life (especially if it's your own child) but lets not be ridiculous... it can be both terrifying and nauseating
I apologize if I was insulting.

Wanna know what ridiculous is? Ridiculous is that you are only worried about becoming infected by the blood somehow entering your urethra and somehow infecting you. Pretty far fetch.
That's not the most common pathway of infection for men. It's the dendritic cells found on the head of the penis. The reason uncircumcised men are at more risk is because the foreskin holds fluids underneath the foreskin and up close and personal to those cells on the penis. In your case those tighty whities of yours could have acted much like a foreskin, keeping that warm, moist blood right up there next to the head of the penis where all those cells could just soak it up.
Guess next time you shouldn't get so intoxicated that you can't turn on a light.
Happy window period.

wanna know what ridiculous is? wishing someone a happy window period which leads me to believe you've never had the HIV scare or your just an insensitive bitch.. you tell me
lets quote.. "Ridiculous is that you are only worried about becoming infected by the blood somehow entering your urethra and somehow infecting you. Pretty far fetch." Not sure whats ridiculous about worrying about blood on your genitals. but then you go on to say.. "In your case those tighty whities of yours could have acted much like a foreskin, keeping that warm, moist blood right up there next to the head of the penis where all those cells could just soak it up." so is it far fetched or likely?? kind of contradicting yourself
I don't post on this site to bicker and certainly not to "wish anyone a happy window period"
you should consider doing the same

you are too quick to get offended, Izabella. never even mentioned anything about menstrual periods or women. only said "bloody sex is disgusting." as in blood during sex, whether it's vaginal or anal or whatever. bit of a jump you're making with your rant.
i will admit that my opinion about blood during sex was probably unnecessary for that particular response. but it was not an insult towards menstruation or women.

Sorry to leap onto someome elses thread but, Dendritic cells cover the skin of the whole body. Why is the penis head so special with respect to HIV?

OK I'll do your homework for you since your too lazy to google for yourself.
Forgot to mention that Dendritic cells are also know as Langerhans, which you would have figured out for yourself before posting, if you had done a little leg work for yourself. "Dendritic cells were first described by Paul Langerhans (Langerhans cells) in the late nineteenth century. It wasn't until 1973, however, that the term "dendritic cells" was coined by Ralph M. Steinman and Zanvil A. Cohn.[1]" http://www.answers.com/topic/dendritic-cell
So frigging sorry. If you find this isn't enough information to satisify you, then just google it, it's not hard to do. All this came from one quick search.

As I pointed out to the orignial poster, having his penis held tight all night next to all that warm moist blood would be a lot like a foreskin holding body fluid next to the penis head. While HIV does become inactive quickly to the outside environment, body heat and the tight quarters probably slowed that progression down to a crawl.
