Izzabella posted thatt we now know that symptoms don't linger. Does that mean that they dont last for longer then a few weeks or that they do not keep coming back? I have stomach/bowel problems for 16 weeks now and what appears to be folliculitis. I also have been tested hiv negative at 14 weeks (p24/anti-body test) . So should I stop worrying that these symptoms are about HIV and see my doctor?

Acute Retroviral Syndrome (ARS) typically doesn't last more than a week. If ARS symptoms do occur they will be between 2-4 weeks after exposure.
What so many people don't understand...or chose to ignore is that word ACUTE. Long lasting symptoms are an indication of a chronic health issue.
So yeah, you are HIV negative and should see your doctor to determine the cause if your health issues.
