Hi everyone.
Does anyone know anything about doing your own HIV test yourself at home? Is there such a thing? How do I get one? I think the only way I will ever be able to test is through this method. I heard something about it on the internet before. One thing is when its delivered to me will the person delivering it know its a HIV test kit? I dont want anyone to know so that may be a problem. I wonder if they are easy to use? Anyway, anyone with any info on this topic please fill me in. Thanks so much.

you should be able to get one over the counter at your local pharmacy.

But you could just as easily find a testing site near you and get a rapid test. Just make sure it's anonymous testing if you are worried. But based on what you've described in the past, your risk seems minimal. Like everyone has said, in the politest way possible, just get tested already!

I found out from my doctor I was positive in 2002. I didn't get real upset but I did find a test kit on the net and I ordered it and it said yes I was poz. Only the company I got it from knew I was using it. It came in a plain wrapper and I did not have to send the test back to the company to find out the results it showed me at home the results. Look on the net and google home hiv tests and hopefully you can still find one to use in your home. No one needs to know what is going on with you. If you do get it and it says positive I suggest you see your doctor and have a test to confirm the results.
