I want to believe hiv cant be caught this way. but

Hi I have a question. I read that shaking hands is NOT a method of getting hiv. Well I shoke hands with a person who has hiv and am fearful that I may have been infected. Heres why, I had a chunk of skin missing from the side of my finger and after we shook hands I noticed him biting his fingers. Then shortley after I saw little open cuts on his hands. Pleas eexplain if hiv is in his blood and then gets onto my cut how is this ok? Also, would it have to be a noticible amount of blood. In other words would I have to actually feel a wet glob of blood on my hand or is hiv so microscopic that a speck would be enough to infect. Should I get tested or am I 100 percent in the clear (at least from this exposure)

It does not sound as though you were exposed to anything, except paranoia!
I have relatives, friends and colleages that are HIV+. I shake hands, hug, hang out with, do whatever social activities I choose. Never once considering I would be infected by any of them.
I save that paranoia for my sexual partners...............even when they "say" they are negative.
With a compromised immune system, he needs to be careful who he exposes himself to.

Okay Wow..I usually don't comment. But just could not resist. You should really read up on HIV before coming in contact with an other person that can be pos. I am pos my husband is neg. We have been together for over 13 years and he is still neg. hmmmm....this should answer your question....well unless you do suffer from Paranoia Syndrome

I have a problem with real ignorant comments from people that cant control their paranoia. if hiv was so easily transmitted then it minus well be an airborn disease instead of a bodily fluid type disease, And then everyone would have hiv by now. Why dont u go and shake hand with a shrink cause that is what u need to help with ur mental fears.

You must be some kind of fool. If you not postive then what are you doing on this site how did you find this site. You could have just google that question. This site has became a Joke it is always some bi-poplar scphonize hacker out there to mess things up.
