A few years ago while in my anatomy course my professor would always advise us we should ask all possible questions before touching a patient because he always said that DOUBT KILLS. Since my exposure and the outcome of my symptoms those words have been the only ones that have been hammering my mind for at least 15 weeks. I got my 13 week test but I don't believe it cause I still have strange symptoms such as a slight sore throat and a itchy rash that came a couple of weeks after my unprotected receptive oral sex to a guy I had met a couple of weeks before this incident. So I will test again next month.
I wish there were new methods to certainly know your hiv status right after infection or an affordable PCR technology in the near future because for those of us who live the window period is more like a torture period.
Just a thought about WP.
Cheers

"I wish there were new methods to certainly know your hiv status right after infection or an affordable PCR technology in the near future because for those of us who live the window period is more like a torture period." <-- But you already passed the window period!!! There are methods to certainly know if your HIV status is positive or not passed the 13 weeks. With new tests you can get an accurate result even after 6 weeks.
If your tests keep saying you are negative, by a time accepted by everyone including the most informed and expert people on earth that deal with HIV infections every day, all year round, for god knows how many years since they have been 'in the business'...why would you think different??
the debate today is 6 week vs 13 week.... you need counseling from HIV specialists in your country dude.. like really fast. you need to just let it go

I know that you have already heard this, but you can not attempt to link your symptoms to strictly HIV. In my case I thought I was exposed more than two years ago and tested like crazy for those two years, using antibodies and PCR testing. After I began to trust my testing to be negative and correct, I had them test for other viral infection. The answer took me a long time to get, but I tested positive for mono or EBV virus. Make a long story short, Hiv is not the only infection out there.
