A few days ago I ended up going to a Lapdance bar with friends while working in the USA. After much beer and coaxing from my friends I ended up getting a private dance from one of the dancers – a Venezuelan girl. I ended up getting a handjob, which reading the forum is very low risk.
However I have 2 concerns.
1 – During the dance she briefly put her hand down her knickers, kissed her lips and then put her finger to my lip. I quickly wiped my mouth
2 – Just after I ejaculated she rubbed her finger over my urethra, I think it was to see if I had cum as it was quite dark. I could not urinates straight away, it was some 10 minutes later and I could only wash when I got back to the hotel,a few hours later. I have not been circumcised.
I don't know the HIV status of this girl and am now starting to spiral into a depression worrying that there may have been some vaginal fluid on her fingers which could have gone on my lips, or entered my urethra.
Am I worrying unnecessarily ? I am feeling guilty at having made this error of judgment. I am happily married with a young family and don't want to loose them or put them at risk.
Should I have a test done for HIV and STD ?

There is an "ask the experts" section of this website which deals with just this: http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/SafeSex/Archive/Strippers/index.html I hope the advice of the professionals puts your mind at ease.

HIV has been around for more than 2 and a half decades. We KNOW how HIV is transmitted.
These types of questions no longer have relevance.

HIV cannot survive outside of the body so if she was HIV+ and did have vaginal fluids on her finger, the virus would be neutralized as soon as it touched air.

Thanks to all who addressed my concerns. Your advice and that of Dr Bob, has certainly put my fears at rest. As for the guilt , that is something else I will have to deal with.
This forum plays an essential part in removing the myths around HIV transmission, and in helping people retain their sanity when their fears start to overwhelm them.
I cannot express my gratitude enough.

Scared,
The only possible problem you must address in the situation you report is the anxiety and guilt and NOT HIV.
Good luck
