other viruses that cause ARS symptoms?

Are there very many other viruses that cause ARS symptoms? I once read about a certain strain of herpes that doesn't cause any sores, or harm the immune system, but it does cause a brief illness after infection similar to ARS. Are there many other viruses like this? Thanks.

Not a particular strain of herpes, but herpes can have an ARS type reaction. You have to look at ARS and realize that it could be a generalized reaction to any virus or infection. A fever, swollen lymph nodes, and a sore throat are all very common symptons. Then there's the rash which may or may not appear, a possible headache, and other less common ones that I won't mention here. Basically though, the ARS symptons are not HIV specific just like the herpes ARS is not either. Now, I'm not saying that other viruses will have ARS or not. It's really dependent upon a lot factors as to whether you experience ARS. Stuff like how strong your immune system, how much the virus or bacteria attack it, and other factors. In the end, this is why they say never diagnose HIV by symptons. It could be literally anything. Even stress, which a lot of us(including myself) can definitely say causes some of our "symptons".

Symptoms are real ARS is not fake when dealing with HIV. 50-90% of people who have been infected will have ARS symptoms.
John Hopkins website has some great info on the symptoms and what % of what symptoms, most common is the fever with swollen glands.
I would think that a deadly virus like HIV people are going to have symptoms.
I really feel for the people who are suffering from ARS like symptoms because it is scary to have a fever with swollen glands after you have had a possible exposure to HIV.
Thank God I had no symptoms and tested negative but the fear could have caused me to imagine symptons due to stress another killer...many people imagine symptoms.
Its a nightmare this hiv thing...

Ok,
No offense to the person who asked this question but, here is a list of possible illnesses that can cause ARS symptoms starting with the most likely:
Stress
Cold
Flu
Bad day at work
Allergies
Hay Fever
Food (eat something your body doesn't like)
Hot Tubs - yes they can cause a rash and junk
Athletes foot
Flag Football - when you get older you get sore easier
and numerous other things..
That is why doctors miss it so many times, is it looks like a million other things. Obviously this is humor, because that was a pretty dumb question.

wow, you really know how to rip into someone, i'm impressed. was that humor? oh, i get it. no my friend, dumb would be not to ask, people come for help and support. a lot of these people are truly scared if you have not noticed already. be careful, you may unknowingly drive someone away into a deeper state of fright and/or depression. you were somewhat helpful, try to be kind next time. there are ways to be humorous without being insulting.
