mouth problems- simon or anyone ealse

does anyone know what would constantly cause mouth sores other than hiv i have had these for 4 yrs they always come back in the same place i cant see them so i dont know what they look like and know i have some darker pink around the gumline the color lightens then darkens it looks raw almost like the skin is gone i have tested for hiv1 dont know for sure if hiv2 was also tested
but i would be grateful to know if anything ealse causes this i have tryed to research and i cant find anything oh i also take very good care of my teeth so i dont understand this
ps i am a smoker

Sorry - I'm not a doctor. I just had tons of canker sores, I have always occassionaly gotten them (like 1 a year) and all of a sudden I had 8. BIG ONES. But, the doctor said they think they are caused by stress or food. So, just watch what you eat, and if you are really worried - go to a doctor and have them look at it.
