Good morning, I just can't stop thinking who would be life after been infected. I am so scared and afraid to die. Please be honest and provide me some experience from your life after been with the virus. I am 26 and I would love to die from old age rather from I really don't know. Thank you for your time. greco

So tell me, is there life after cancer? Is there life after renal failure secondary to diabetes? How about a stroke from chronic high blood pressure? How about a traumatic motor vehicle accident? and of course there is Hepatitis C? And don't forget the debilitating disease like multiple schlerosis and rheumatoid arthritis? Lou Gehrigs disease (ALS) is certainly a death sentence with a lot of suffering to go with it? So, you think HIV is the biggest problem? Think again. B.

I am sorry guys , please do not get me wrong. I took an Elisa and Oral test after 40 days of risk and came back negative. But with all the fever and pain the my testicles makes me think that i got infected. I went to the doctor b/c the head of my penis was really red and he told me it might be Herpes. i took the blood test and came back negative. hen i wento to a dermatologist and he told me to take a test which i did and came back negative. He also told me that since I have candida ( i think that's the name of the fungus) It's not part of the acute hiv infection. I march I 've to take the test again but I'm so scared. I'm 26 years old and It seems that all my dreams came to an end. For this same reason I just asked this question. If there is life after beend tested positive. Could I'll be able to work? the medicine will change my physical body. ect. Thank you for your time and support. Have a great day

Greco,
Read the other posts on these boards. Obviously, there is life after being diagnosed HIV+. It's probably less of a day to day struggle than dealing with herpes and candida. My God, man, where have you been sticking that thing????
My question to you, "Is there life after worrying incessantly over being HIV+?"

Only one thing is certain in life, and that is death. None of us are immune from that.
So what we all have to do is live our lives to the fullest we can. NO MATTER WHAT.
You ask if there is life after being tested positive? The real question is "Am I going to live my life to the fullest, no matter what?"
Granted being HIV+ can and probably will present you with issues, but you are not alone. Whatever you do, do not allow this virus to define you. You can be whatever you choose to be.
It's your life, fill it full of honest people you can trust, and live it to the fullest.
Bob
