If the initial test came back positive (let me also add that the lab let my blood sit there fot 5 days before testing) and they do the confirmatory tests and those come back all negative... What does this mean? That I received a false positive and the confirmatory or more sensitive tests coming back negative mean that I am negative?

tawi,
It is quite possible to get a false positive on the initial test, i am assuming it was a rapid test. If your follow-up tests was a western blot., and that is negative, i really do not think there is any reason for you to be worried. You are negative
