Is it possible to get hiv if you eat food that has wet hiv+ blood on it?

Even if the blood got on the food less than five minutes before you ate it? What if the food isn't hot or cold, just room temperature? What if you burnt your mouth on something hot the night before?
Thanks!

i have to agree with oldwoman, if you knew there was blood on it ,why would you eat it? hiv dies very quickly when it is exposed to air.

I don't know if there was. It is just a question in general. If you were at a buffet and the person before you had a cut, got some blood on the cold cuts and then you picked up said cold cut could you be infected?

No I do not. I realize that I have what most folks would consider an irrational fear. Can someone just humor me and tell me the truth without the jokes.
Thanks

okay i will humor you since i have lots of irrational fears myself, it would be impossible for infection to happen that way, hiv is very fragile and would die when exposed to the air, the only thing that helps it with needles is that they are air tight, cold cuts dont have that luxury, i hate buffets all the little tykes sneezing and touching the food, yuck, be worried about that.

Thanks for the serious answers. You can't trust the menu either, cooks bleed, sneeze, cough and sometimes spit and so can the wait staff. :) I am guessing that you can't get HIV from the cook or the server bleeding on your food either. Obviously I don't mean a huge puddle in the middle of your mashed potatos (who could miss that) but a drop that is not noticeable. Anyway thanks for the few serious posts, they are much appreciated.

This is an irrational fear, no you CAN NOT get HIV from a spot of blood on your food. I work in the resteraunt business, and guess what you can't get it from an HIV+ person cooking your food either. Please educate yourself, it is not hard try google.. D
