I am tired and stressed...
      #232107 - 10/08/07 12:14 PM

I had unsafe sex in late September or early October 2002. Early November 2002 had HIV test which was negative. Somebody I knew from before came back into my life. I did not test again until July of 2004 and so did my boyfriend and both of our tests were negative. In 2004 he got a yeast infection from me and that is when we had the negative HIV test. I was scared...he was scared. Now three years later I still worry everytime some unexplained symptom appears. The latest...a CBC and Complete Metabolic Panel all of which were within normal limits except the Lymphocytes were low.
I have also been feeling a tingling sensation from my neck to my right thumb. I am forgetful and just don't feel well. No inflamed glands though. I have been extremely stressed with personal and business problems and now I am worried for the blood test result. I never have time for fun, but I always manage to find time to worry.
I have been reading the posts for sometime and it has been helpful. This is as close to verbalizing my worry as I have been able to do. Can a person test negative then turn up positive years later?

Hey

You are negative.PERIOD! I do not see any reason for you to be worried about it. Unless you both fail to practice monogamy, HIV testing in future situations is unwarrented.

As for you thinking about it, I must say getting help from a mental health care professional would be of great help...I did take some mental therapy sessions in my WW days and it helped..

Goodluck

Are you continuing (both of you) to practice safer sex since your last hiv test?

Thank-you. I have read some of your other posts and you are always very kind. I guess I wanted to hear it from somebody. The relationship is monogomous. I have other things going on and counselling is probably in order. I will take your advice on that. Thanks for your time. Stay well.
