Test taken after 3 months of exposure. Got the antibody result, and was told NEGATIVE. Greatly appreciate if someone can provide details on specifics of the result. Below is the result:
Tests performed by Lab Corp
HIV 1/O/2 Abs, Qual Non Reactive
Does that mean that tests antibody tests were done for both HIV-1 and HIV-2 ?
Can I take it for granted I am free from HIV ?
thanks, kandy

You have tested negative for antibodies for HIV types 1 and 2 (including the group O variant of HIV-1) – so, assuming you were tested three months or more from your last potential exposure, you can indeed take it for granted that you are free from HIV.
Good luck.

Hey,
take them for granted?? Well, you can print them and distribute the copies:) ... you are negative period! Further testing or worry regarding HIV is unwarrented.
Goodluck
