I had unprotected sex with someone about 3 weeks ago. (stupid, I know). I know him well (not that that matters, I know)....and from what I KNOW of him, he hasn't been with anyone other than me for over a year, and is 100% heterosexual. I just had an HIV test in April after being with him....NEGATIVE.
But now after this last instance, I've developed a HORRIBLY itchy rash. Like...itch till I give myself bruises type of rash!!! Its mostly right around where the band of my bra sits, under my arms in my armpits and on my thighs (thats where I bruised from the itching)!!!
I've had NO fevers. No swollen glands. No flu like symptoms whatsoever. I feel great....except for this rash!!!!
Just wondering if the ARS rash is this itchy?? Parts of the rash looks like little blisters (after I've scratched for a while!)....but there's no big red patches or anything like that.
Should I be concerned???
Any help anyone can give me would be great...!
And YES.....I am going to get tested...but till then, just thought I could have a few concerns answered!
thanks!

I should also add, I have NO rash on my back. Its all front...(and thighs)...oh....and it broke out a little and ITCHED like crazy on the top of my feet last night!! Its the ITCHING thats driving me crazy!!!
So, under my arms, on my front (where my bra band sits), my thighs, and tops of my feet. Not my sides or stomach or anything.
Also, had no night sweats or any other "illness"......
a few loose stools.....I contribute that though to what my diet has been lately.....(not good)....and nerves.
so IS this what the "normal" HIV rash would appear to be like??

Your rash could be caused by any number of things. Heat, Allergies, Stress to name a few. It certainly does not indicate HIV or ARS. Testing is the ONLY way to determine your status. As far as the rash, if it continues to bother you. See your doctor.
"and from what I KNOW of him, he hasn't been with anyone other than me for over a year, and is 100% heterosexual. "
Your line of thinking here will continue to get you in trouble until you change it.
...he hasn't been with anyone other than me for over a year:
He might not have been with anyone else for the last 5 years, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have HIV.
Yes, I know you tested negative in April after being with him (unprotected that time also I assume), but the thing with HIV is that exposure doesn't always equal infection. There are cases of people going years having unprotected sex with a partner until they find out one partner is HIV+, yet the other partner has remained negative. So just because you had a negative result doesn't mean he isn't infected. Getting infected only takes one time. You just don't know which time it will be.
(*I'm am playing devil's advocate somewhat. More than likely your friend isn't infected. But it's important you stop assuming people's status as negative without facts to back it up.)
...and is 100% heterosexual: HIV really doesn't care if a person is 100% heterosexual, 100% homosexual or someone that likes to mix it up a bit. ANYONE can become infected. "
Until two people commit to a monogomous relationship and get tested together, you need to assume your partners have HIV and take precautions accordingly.

Because you say "under your bra band" that makes me think of the clothes closest to your skin. If you've changed your washing powder/tablets recently that might be an allergic reaction. Or using a different shower gel... I wouldn't worry too much about the rash.

All I can say is that Anon_One is 100% right. And again, the only way to know if you're infected is to test at 3 months after possible exposure.
Another thing... DAMN it!!! start using condoms for youre own protection. (no matter what... it doesnt matter if the guy is a priest or the POPE, or a Virgin... they can still have HIV)
About the rash, ARS symptoms come together at once, not only one symptom. So, is very unlikely that rash is due to HIV.
Good luck, God bless, and be safe... and remember to use protection always, unless you are in a monogamous relationship with a negative partner.

went to the dr. Didn't mention or ask about HIV when I was there......figured he'd blow it off anyway.
He looked at the rash and said its an allergic reaction to something....(so he thinks anyway).....
I asked about scabies...he said no. Since there's nothing between my fingers and/or toes....and that like someone else mentioned....its all where my clothes are touching me most.
He gave me Zyrtec....and some kinda steroid? Predinisone I think...for a week.
And no, no other "symptoms".......just this stupid itch!! GRRR!!!!
definitely will be careful from now on though...no matter WHAT!
