ARS rash and symptoms?! - TheBody.com's Bulletin Boards

Ok, I've been lurking around this site for the past week or so... Ever since discovering about ARS. Tuesday I went and got tested... I have until the 7th of next month to wait for my results... I am a fucking wreck.

Ok... Let me give you all my situation. About two years ago, I found myself living in Japan. All the rumors about how much ass a guy can get over there are definitely overstated... In three years I had a total of four partners, one of which was (and still is) long term.

I have always used condoms for intercourse, and I admit I don't use condoms for oral, nor do I use a dental dam for cunnilingus. While I consider myself bi, I definitely lean towards straight, and I've only had about two non-hetero experiences in my life.

One happened in Japan, and it's had me worroed for about three years... more-so just recently.

I met a transvestite in a straight club... She was damn pretty for a guy. We went on a couple dates, and on the second, we had protected anal intercourse, me being the insertive partner. We also had unprotected oral sex, both ways. This was a one-off experience... One of a few one-night-stands I've had in my life, and like I said, I used a condom for the non-oral sex.

After an initial bout of worry (since this act had fallen out bounds of my normal sexual behaior), I had my worries eased after reading how low the odds were for transmitting from oral alone.

Just recently, I've been sick for longer than usual... With a persistant sore-throat. So... I started googling about aids again... bad idea, huh?

I discovered ARS, and that threw me for a hell of a loop. Rash? Dizziness? Fever? Vommiting?

I remembered that while in Japan, I had an odd bout of food posioning. One night me and a couple friends ate at a cook your own meat restaurant. I was a bit nervous becuase the girl I was with seemed to be throwing the meat on our plates rather quickly...

Needless to say, that night I awoke at 3am and rushed to my toilet for the craziest (and first and only) bout of projectile vommiting I've ever experienced. No fluid came up... I was just shooting meat out of my mouth. Lasted until there was no more meat in my stomach, and I staggered back to bed.

The next part is what has me worried. Although I don't remember if it was the next day, it was definitely within a couple days. I went to work in the morning (my job was a 30 minute drive up a mountain), and soon after getting there, I started to feel light-headed and dizzy. My co-workers pointed out that I looked quite ill, and looking at my hands, I noticed my skin looked splotchy. Thats the only way to describe it. It was splotchy and evenly distributed on my hands arms, chest, face, possibly my legs, but I never bothered to check. It wasn't raised or anything like a normal rash, it just seemed to change all the color in me. If you ran your hand against my skin you would've felt nothing at all.

A coworker rushed me to a clinic and I remember relating that I had recently been food posioned, and related my vommiting episode to the doc. I can't for the life of remember if it was the exact next day or not. The doc seemed to accept my explanation, and I think he chalked it up as an allergic reaction. I went home to rest, and that was the end of that. I don7t think it even lasted the whole day, but maybe a few hours.

Ok... fast-forward a couple years or so, and I am reading about ARS symptoms. Googling the rash like mad. I find one picutre after extensive google image searching of the terms AIDS RASH and ARS rash... And I see a rash that looks exactly as I remember mine looking.

After seeing the picture, I literally started to faint, and quickly laid down under my air conditioner.

Since then it's been an emotional roller coaster... of all valleys. I have been crying daily, I am not answering the phone from friends, I am avoiding everyone, and just waiting for my test results... Only two weeks of this shit to go... Woo Hoo!

I am especially distraught for the two long term partners I have been with in the meantime... With both, I have always used condoms for sex, nothing for cunnilingus, and no condoms for oral. One of them knows my worry, and thinks I am being utterly irrational, but I can break into tears everytime we speak, because I am afraid I possibly infected her... Especially since if I was infected, it MUST HAVE been from oral.

Anyhow... advice? Anyone with experience with the rash...? If what I experienced was ARS, than is it odd or normal for it to only last a few hours total? Like I said... I had the projectile vomitting once after the restaurant, than the strange blotchy skin and dizziness for a few hours in the morning either the next day, or a few days later...

Man... I am seriously not handling this waiting game very well.

Anything anyone can add will be appreciated, and I thank you in advnace.
