HIV infected or not?

Could one get infected with HIV if he had wounds on he's fingers and touched plastic lids that an HIV positive cut himself in? (I heard that outside the body the virus dies in a few minutes, and if the person having the virus is taking a treatment, the amount of virus in blood can be too less to be infectious for the others)What is the period that the virus needs to stay inside the body to be detected...I heard that it is 3 months recently, tho I knew it was 6 months .Can that affect differently if the transmitor has AIDS, or if he is taking a treatment, or taking that the one suspected to have taken the virus has diabetes? please get me out of the dark! thank u in advance

If you want to know whether you are HIV positive (or not)............ get tested.
