do genital warts cause cancer in men

they do cause cervical cancer in women among other things. but its been stated that the warts are harmless to men? is that true?

Genital warts do not cause cancer.
Human papillomavirus (HPV) causes genital warts. It also causes Cevical cancer in women and that's been getting a lot of press lately. BUT men can be affected by HPV also. It is the cause of Penile and Anal Cancer in men.
