Hello,
Since a suspicious heterosexual contact with a black prostitute in july 2006, I've experienced EVERY symptom on the HIV ARS-list (except fever) ... These include :
Urticaria ( after 2 weeks) Memory loss Rashes all over my body, including palms and soles Gingivitis ( as diagnosed by my dentist) Bleeding gums Itchyness stiffness of hands burning/cold hands/feet electroshocks folliculitis yellowing skin TIREDNESS very sensitive skin ( skin turns VERY RED when under pressure) blue veins very visible diarrhea ( 10 months non - stop ) stifness of muscles dizzyness extreme dry skin peeling of palms and soles excess sweating white tongue ( first 3 months) Chills Cancer sores Tingling in hand/feet/neck Stomach problems
I've tested negative ( ELISA HIV 1/2) untill the 10 month - mark. My CD4 had been 658, 704 and now 877. My bilirubin(total) is 2.14, direct 0.5 and indirect 1.64 My ALT/AST values are normal (21/22)
I had to give up my work for this ( constant dizzyness, tiredness, rashes, ... )
I don't know what to think anymore ... I know that HIV ARS usually only is present for 2 weeks and seroconversion normally takes place in 3 months ... so if I believe the stats, it's impossible to have HIV ( or even impossible to have a co-infection with HEPC for example) I believe that ... problem is that my symptoms don't disappear ( have also already been to 4 psychiatrists for this without result )
So I don't know what to think or what to do anymore ... the only thing I want is that those symptoms disappear and I can get back to work ...
Anyone recognize my story or can give me any advice ?
Thx,
David

I remember you, I am on the same boat, me after 3 weeks heteresexual contact I started with every symptom of ARS, including pharyngitis and painful nodes in the axilla, diahrrea, well loose stool lasted about 5 months and I am sometimes extremely fatigue, I also have a 10 month negative, with elisa, and oraquick, had a viral load at 6 months came back < 400 copies, then I realized that it does not mean much as I took it at 6 months. well I still have pain in by upper ribs close to my armpits, I will test again in 2 months. My life is just a mess don;t know what to think.

Errrr.....that means your test was UNDECTECTABLE as in NO virus. The test only measures down to 400 copies. So it's reported as < 400 when no virus has been dectected. It's the same result those of us on medication strive to get. Of course with those people that are actually postive it means we are controlling the virus.
However, for those people with NEGATIVE ELISA tests, it just confirms they aren't even infected....just like you.
My guess is your life will continue to be 'just a mess' until you accept the fact you are HIV negative and start to focus your attention on other things that may be the cause of your woes.

I will say this to all and I mean EVEYONE who tested negitive, and still has symptoms. I have BEEN THERE! Tested and tested. If you had sex, and think your infected try to remember this. DID you KISS the person? Because MONO is way easier to transmit thenn HIV, and has most of the same symptoms, and most can be added apon with stress. Get a MONOSPOT test, and a EBV test. This is a very good resason for most of your symptoms. MONO attackes the liver causing yellow skin for a time, and alot more.
