Straws and infection

Hello,
I have been "partying a little too much lately". A week and a half ago, I was at my place when a buddy called later at night to ask me if I wanted to party. So I showed up and one person there I know for sure is HIV positive. I was already slightly buzzed and I shared the same rolled dollar bill with him once or twice accidentally. I started out using my own. What is the risk of this activity? Is it like a bj that is theoretically possible to contract HIV, but never a case recorded this way??? I am not too worried but some doubts are creeping in.

Short and sweet.
You don't become infected from sharing straws. You don't become infected from sharing joints. You have a very HIGH risk of becoming infected from sharing needles.

I think a momentary paranoia on my part. I know this true. The needle is not my thing never will be. But, I bet you would not knowingly share a straw with someone you knew is + as I did.

I am HIV+, but hey, thanks for reminding me why I should be avoiding this board. There's no reason I, or any of the other HIV+ people here should have to be insulted when just trying to help someone.
Good luck with your paranoia. Thankfully real people in my life don't judge their participation in my life by my status.

sorry i have not read what the other responses were. you should read up a little more on this. it takes many gallons of saliva before one can pass hiv to another. i guess if you had a cut and the person had bled into the straw or passes some other bodily fluid the doctors may say its possible. if you are really worried - go get tested.
