I had a few sewing needles in a box on the bus and a 2 teenagers wanted to see them so i let them. The kids started poking themselves with the needles and drew blood. I asked them if it hurt and in reply with one of the needles he lightly poked me with it (don't know for sure whether or not he poked me with a needle that he had been poking himself with, but there is a possibility that he did). I didn't bleed but the very tip of the needle might of punctured my skin. My question is if I am at risk of getting HIV. Again, it was a solid needle, and i think only the tip punctured my skin(i did not bleed), but the blood on the solid needle could have been fresh blood. I also think that one of those kids used to inject drugs.
This incident happened about 2 years ago. I am kinda worrying about it now b/c this winter I had a whole bunch of colds. Since Mid-November I have had like 4 colds! I am in my late teens and this is th e most colds that I've had in this amount of time.
Is my situation with the needles plus the colds something to worry about? Do you think I should test, or just leave it alone? Can someone please answer because I'm getting a little nervous.

Sewing needles pose no risk, the needles to worry about are hypodermics where blood is not expose to air. But you've already been told that over and over again. Trying different sites, won't change the answer.
If however, you can't accept the fact you had no risk. Just get a test. Simple.

But what about the frequent colds, theyre kinda freaking me out cuz i've never had that many before. Is that a sign of HIV, if it wasnt for the colds then I would've accepted the fact that I had no risk. But the colds are putting different thoughts in my brain. And just by the way, I had a CBC done last week and it was all normal Even my WBC co unt was normal, would that rule out the thought that HIV was causing the colds. I know a CBC doesnt tell if you are HIV +or- but I'm saying that if I was getting sickness due to HIV, wouldnt it show on the CBC.
P.S. anon, How did u know I was on different sites...lol

HIV doesn't cause an increase in colds.

Look if you can't accept the fact you weren't at risk just get a test and be done with this. What you are doing now is ridiculous and soon leads to becoming a paranoid nutcase.
