A few months back I fell ill with symptoms such as lightheadedness, stiff neck, and mild headaches. The symptoms struck a few days, to a week after having unprotected sex. The symptoms would go away, and come back just about every other day for a week or two. I went to the doctor, and after telling them the symptoms, they almost immediately told me that it was viral. They did some bloodwork to check my mono levels (I've had Epstein-Barr Virus for approximately 2 years now), and the mono level test came back normal. So, they told me that it was more than likely just a bug, and not to worry about it. This past week I had unprotected sex with someone, and a few days later he fell ill with the same symptoms.
Does anyone here that has tested HIV+ have a story similar to this?
I'm going to get tested soon to find out for sure, but I wanted to come to the bulletins and see what kind of responses I would get.

I won't ask why you keep putting yourself at risk by having unprotected sex.
Your symptoms probably have nothing to do with HIV, but unprotected sex is just that. UNPROTECTED. You need to get a test 3 months after your last unprotected exposure. In the meantime, while you wait to find out your status, keep it covered up. If you are worried you might have HIV, you certainly have a responsiblity to not pass it on.

if you are worried about it, why expose somebody else to the virus, that is very unconsious of your self. get tested and use protection.
