I am sure PEP refers to the medications given to someone when he/she is in the late stages of HIV "Aids" and he/she has PCP. PCP is simply pnuemonia and is a very common OI that occurs in persons with a CD4 below 200. Keep in mind I am not a MD and I am giving what I "think" I know. I have not had to deal with PCP thus far, and pray I never will...but I am pretty confident that is what it means. I am not sure about your medicine but I am certain that very few if any medicines will stop an Elisa test from detecting antibodies. Hope that helps

Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP). It is a course of antiretrovials given for about a month to a person that has had a confirmed high risk exposure or to health workers after a needle stick. It must be started within 72 hours of the exposure.
