Hi,

Can anyone tell me if they have heard of HIV-1 Proviral DNA PCR test. The kit used for the test is artus RealArt RG RT-PCR.
Does anyone know if it covers all the major subtypes ..i.e A, B, C, D, E, F& G. I tried calling the concellor at th testing center and he did not give me direct answers. He said it covers all the subtype which is essentially a wrong answer as for sure it does not cover HIV-2. Now, what I am worried about is if this test covers major subtypes in HIV-1. Please let me know. I am having a wretched time as I am not able to get hold of any councellors during Christmas time....
