Percentage at 9 weeks!
      #21961 - 09/06/01 04:28 AM

Please Calm down, A test at 4 weeks is about 95% accurate and in sweden and the study done in sweden shows 99.9% accurate at 8 weeks and 99.9 or 99.99% is the best to give. I personally donīt understand why it should be a big diffrence in people because the virus starts to replicate directly when you been exposed and the body will start to fight back the virus. The Hiv virus canīt hidden in the body and also whe have had first, second and third generation test with diffrent antigens and also 3th generation test look for both IgM and IgG the erlier test didnīt look for both similiar. The studyīs showing longer than 3 month is very old and poor and also I canīt understand that the person that have taking longer than 3 month may have given the right exposure date. With the new test most will have positive test at 4-5 weeks so why should very few person take 6 month with the new test? I would say 8 weeks is very, very good sign that you are negative.
