Hey Nate. You can't go by any type of illness to determine your status. Have you tested?

I made an antibody test at 80 days and it was negative but i am having minor problems swallowing and am losing weight. I also have some white stuff in throat which resembles the tar that deposits on the teeth.the roblem is that most of the times I can get it off my throat walls but not completely. I wonder if it is something everyone has normally or if it implies something wrong going on with the body. Sometimes the white prominent lumps can be seen on the right side and sometimes on the left.
I do not know. Probably, I am just examining my body too closely that's why I am seeing it and I might have had it always but please do let me know if somone sees something white in their throat. I have seen couple of other people mention esophagitis and oral candidiasis and I am wondering if they can also reply to my post...

Nate

Nate. The majority of people test postive between 4-6 weeks (28 - 42 days) That 80 days was close enough to a conclusive 90 that testing again won't change the outcome. I would suggest if you are concerned about what is going on in your mouth you go see a dentist. I imagine you will find out that it's very common, lots of WWs on here complain about that type of thing even though they don't have HIV.

Thanks for replying but I really want to ask if GERD can be a possibility. Also, I woud really appericiate if someone can tell me that at what stage of infection can esophagitis manifest. My diet has been real poor ever since this scare so it might be a result of that but please guys, I am sure someone has some information about it. Please share!!!!!

Could be, might be, who knows. Your doctor, that's who. Here in the meantime while you wait to get your appointment tomorrow.

Tho' I have a feeling you have probably already researched this subject to death.

Look you have a negative test result. And to boot, nothing you have talked about is even closely indicative of HIV infection.

If you are having Reflux, YOU NEED TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR. Continuing without medical intervention can cause irreperable harm to your Esophagus and that, my friend, has nothing to do with HIV.
